Have you noticed the brutal speed with which Accenture is disassociating and distancing itself from Tiger Woods (while Nike stands by him)? Their names were almost synonymous for almost 6 years.
Accenture, as if Tiger Woods Were Never There
What are the lessons for us here? Is it a case of :
- If character is lost, everything is lost ? (for Tiger and the rest of us)... or
- It is in adversity that you know who your real friends are? (for Tiger and the rest of us)... or
- Fame, name, money, status - all fleeting? (for Tiger and the rest of us)....or
- Once bitten twice shy? (for Accenture. Not many have forgotten Anderson Consulting, Accenture's 'precursor', and Enron)...or
- This is how Accenture (fair to generalise and say any other MNC?) will treat you when you no longer fit into their scheme of things? (for Accenture's 1.75 Lakh employees and the rest of us)
Thoughts/opinions?
