Full tumbler this time but bad water!

If the founding fathers of our nation were to be alive today to see the largely sorry state of affairs whom would they hold responsible?
  1. Our current crop of leaders/representatives for their poor vision and commitment  OR
  2. Our people who do not find it necessary to exercise their right/duty to choose their representatives or become representatives themselves?
People who do not take part in the democratic process (for which a battle almost 3 centuries long was fought) are traitors and enemies of the state and should be treated as such!

"If there is tumbler full of filthy water then there are only two ways of dealing with it: Either throw out the water or pour so much of fresh water that the filthy water is flushed out"
                                                                                        -   A prominent young politician of a different ilk

It's about time we did something don't you think? The least: GO OUT AND VOTE WHENEVER YOU ARE EXPECTED TO !!

Comment by Shrikanth:

I would like to add a third point; the people themselves who do not believe in power of Dharma.   Of the billion population, how many of them can claim that they have followed all the rules, not yielded to corruption, not taken bribes or paid bribes, or do their work properly.  These guys are also indirectly responsible for nurturing corruption, inefficiency in the system.

My Response to above comment:

Can't agree with you more! In simple words the biggest problem today is not poverty, unemployment, naxalism, terrorism, food n water shortage, erratic climate or global warming but a general degradation in moral values in all of us with no exceptions. The remedy as I see it is introspection, self analysis and self improvement. The motivation for the same --> The great life that we can all lead on this planet if these remedial measures are undertaken and the inevitable disastrous consequences if they are not!
